Commodore Zone - issue 1 |
Based on the VIC 20 classic Blitz, this little game was actually written for T.M.R's mum to play after the trusty white breadbin breathed it's last and couldn't run it any more. The game itself is very simple, your spaceship is running low on fuel and needs somewhere to land and the only place anywhere within range is the deserted alien city. As you make repeated passes, getting lower each time, drop bombs to flatten the city and make it safe to land on. Review: "You're continously approaching the ground and on the way you have to destroy buildings so you won't crash into them later on. There are many similar games around, but I think this is the only really good one. Great game." Dohi/C64HQ Trivia: This wasn't really meant to go out, but there was a bit of spare disk space on the Commodore Zone covermount so it was a nice filler.
